I love the Bichon Frise Breed! What is not to love?

I purchased my first Bichon Frise 30 years ago. I grew up with miniature poodles but fell in love with this breed having seen one at a pet fair in Toronto and just had to have one. I tried showing her but her love was about being a loving pet not parading around in a conformation ring. We were able to enjoy and spoil her for 14 years I have had Bichons in my home ever since! Her legacy was a love and appreciation for the breed she gave me.

Then came an opportunity to purchase a male "Suvans' Marco Polo" as my second Bichon He turned out to be a successful show dog who loved being in the ring!! What a pleasant surprise! He obtained both his Canadian and American Championship as well as Best In Breed at the 2004 Brichon Frise Club of Canada National Specialty. Travelling to shows with "Polo" and working with his handlers I gained so much helpful information and I became even more involved with the breed. This involvement led me back into the show ring to handle, then into breeding, and finally learning to groom them. With support and encouragement from respected breeders it became time to branch out on my own.

In 2011 IPAWD was born and officially registered with the Canadian Kennel Club.

My sole focus is to breed quality CKC registered Bichon Frises for showing and breeding as well as limited puppies to select homes where they will be loved, cherished, and spoiled!

I am proud to say I have now bred, owner handled and groomed Ipawd Champion Bichons

I am currently a CKC member as well as a member of the Bichon Frise Club of Canada.

When opportunity and time permits I like to attend dog shows, seminars, and always enjoy learning from others who share in the love of their dogs, especially the Bichon Frise.
